Donkey Care & Comfort Matching Fund – Spring/Summer 2025
BIG NEWS FROM THE REFUGE!
We’re over the moon to share that — thanks to YOU, our amazing supporters — we reached our $120,000 Spring Donkey Care & Comfort Fund goal with help from a generous $50,000 match from Sakura’s Hope Foundation!
But that’s not all… another incredibly kind donor has been so inspired by your generosity that they’ve stepped up to match an additional $49,000 in donations between now and September 7th! That means every dollar you give will go twice as far in caring for our beloved long-eared friends.
And the best news of all…we only need another $15,000 to meet our second match! Huge thank you to everyone who has donated towards either our original match or our secondary match already – it truly means the world to us that you show up consistently and selflessly for the Donkeys & Mules in our Care. With your help, we are hopeful we will make our secondary match by September 7th!
We are getting very close to meeting our secondary match goal! Just $15,000 to go as of the end of July, and we will be able to say we have raised nearly 30% of the annual care budget for the Refuge through these wonderful matching funds! If you’re ready to double your donation, donate today ❤

Thank you all for your kind support ❤
The Refuge currently has approximately 100 donkeys & mules in our care, and we are so grateful for all the support to help us continue our mission to provide a safe and healthy refuge for Donkeys & Mules in need.
With your kind support we can continue to provide a comfortable, safe, and healthy environment for all our long-ear friends. Your donations support the daily operations & care of the Donkeys here at the Refuge including daily cleaning of all paddocks & barns, daily medical care for Senior & high needs Donkeys, hay, feed, supplements, soft shavings & straw bedding for winter, and many other small items that are required for daily care of our herds.
